The Oregon Building Codes Division (BCD) will begin offering required code change training in October related to the adoption of the 2017 Oregon Electrical, Plumbing, and Residential Specialty codes.
Who is required to take a BCD code change class? All individuals who obtained plumbing and electrical, and residential structural Oregon specialty code certifications prior to the 2017 code adoption date of Oct. 1, 2017, are required to attend the relevant code change classes instructed by the Oregon Building Codes Division for each category of certification (plumbing, electrical, and residential structural).

What is the class fee? The cost for each code change class is $125. Fees must be paid at time of registration to guarantee seating.
When will classes open for registration? Classes scheduled in October will open for registration late September. Please visit the code change registration webpage to view class dates and locations.
