Council considers AI Framework principles
The State Government Artificial Intelligence Advisory Council reviewed potential principles for artificial intelligence in Oregon. The Council is charged with developing an action plan that includes principles and recommendations. You can find the June 11 meeting recording and materials on the AI Advisory Council website.

P3 Updates IT Oversight documents
Project Portfolio Performance (P3) has published a new guidance document to help agencies, boards, and commissions navigate through IT oversight for non-project IT investments. EIS DEIB Action Plan
EIS’ vision is rooted in equity. Building on this foundation, EIS has published a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Action Plan which details activities planned for the next two years to further a culture of inclusion. In an opening letter to staff, Terrence Woods wrote, “As our DEIB efforts grow, I am excited and optimistic that each of you will start to see the benefits of committing to an organizational culture where each of us is seen, heard, and supported in the ways that allow us to grow and thrive as part of one team.”

Cyber Grant Program Registration Will Reopen
State and Local Cyber Grant Program (SLCGP) registration is set to reopen later this summer. The application registration form will be available on the Oregon SLCGP website.
Projects applying for SLCGP funds must indicate how the project aligns with Oregon’s Cybersecurity Plan.

Accessible PDFs for Digital Equity
Accessible PDFs further inclusivity, enabling people with disabilities to interact with content through features like text-to-speech compatibility and alternative text for images.

WorldOregon Hosts Laos Visitors
Through coordination by WorldOregon, EIS Data Governance and Transparency met with national and state representatives of Laos to discuss the role of technology in enhancing government transparency and the development and functionality of data governance and the Oregon Transparency Website to ensure transparent government activity for Oregonians.
