We are happy to report that process design sessions are now complete for the 25 state agencies in Wave 1. Our team has now shifted to working with these agencies on validation sessions and staff training. Once these two things are complete, we'll enter the preparation phase and start getting ready for Wave 1 Go-live on June 1st.
Every month, OregonBuys system usage continues to grow. We're excited to share the following usage metrics with you:
OregonBuys: One unified system — modernizing state procurement
Virtual facilitated training course registration is now open for Wave 1 state agency staff. These Phase II courses are offered to staff in the following OregonBuys system roles:
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Basic Purchasing (BP)
- Department Access (DA)
Attending training is highly recommended for staff in Wave 1, even if they already took training in the first project phase.
**We respectfully ask agency staff to refrain from registering for training until their assigned wave. Please check the project wave list to find your agency's wave.

State agencies can get prepared for their wave by identifying core team members. Phase II agency core teams should include:
- Project coordinator,
- Business analyst,
- Procurement subject matter experts,
- Accounting/budget subject matter experts,
- Organization Administrator,
- Also, consider adding purchasing subject matter experts and staff from across the divisions in your agency - especially those with unique business processes.
