FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries Launches Legislative Updates Webpage
Portland, OR – The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) announced a new Legislative Updates page which summarizes new laws from the 2025 Legislative Session that affect workplaces across the state, covering everything from leave rights and hiring practices to wage protections and cash payment requirements.
Employers will find plain-language summaries, effective dates, and links to full bill text, along with guidance on how changes may impact their operations. Workers can also use the page to learn about new protections and benefits available to them.
The Legislative Updates page is part of BOLI’s broader effort to help employers comply with the law before problems arise. Alongside the updates page, BOLI’s Employer Assistance Division offers confidential guidance, training, and advisory opinions – giving employers a trusted partner to interpret new requirements, answer questions, and avoid costly violations.
“BOLI is here to ensure that employers are aware of their obligations and supported in their effort to follow through on them, because everyone benefits when violations are avoided in the first place,” said Labor Commissioner Christina Stephenson.
Employers and workers can also subscribe to receive BOLI updates, rulemaking notices, and training opportunities directly in their inbox.
