This project will include crack seal, pavement patching, surface seal, and new pavement markings on the runway, taxiways, and apron.

Surface Closures and Project Phasing:
The runway, taxiways, and apron are expected to be closed for up to 9 days between 3 work areas. Each surface closure will be published via NOTAMs. A more detailed schedule will be shared as we get closer to the start date.
The work areas are designed to keep closure impacts to a minimum. We will reopen the runway as quickly as possible.
Project Schedule:
- Project start - Monday July 13th
- Project completion - Tuesday July 21st
Important Operating Information
(!) When the runway is closed, fixed wing aircraft will not be able to arrive or depart at Joseph until the runway reopens.
(!!)The runway may reopen while work is being done on the taxiways. Back-taxi on the runway may be required depending on taxiway closures. Access to tie-down parking and hangars may be restricted depending on taxilane and apron closures.
(!!!) Please check NOTAMs for the most current airport surface closure information. Helicopters may arrive or depart directly to/from open areas of the airport.
(!!!!) As always, please remain outside of, and avoid low flight over closed work areas.
Thank you for your patience while we maintain the Joseph State Airport.
