Notice - Joseph State Airport - AWOS Replacement Project Starting Soon!
Oregon Department of Aviation sent this bulletin at 05/13/2026 03:15 PM PDTThe Joseph State Airport (JSY) Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) Replacement project will be starting summer 2026.
This project will replace the existing AWOS in its current location with the latest model. This will improve availability of parts and serviceability.

Project/Closure Schedule:
- This project will close a portion of the parallel Taxiway A which may require aircraft to back-taxi on the runway.
- Construction start dates and duration will be shared in a future update as soon as that information is available.
Important Operating Information
(!) For the most current updates on field conditions and surface closures throughout this project, please check the latest NOTAMs.
(!!) Back-taxi may be required depending on taxiway closures.
(!!!) Construction personnel and equipment will be operating on the taxiways and apron.
(!!!!) As always, please remain outside of, and avoid low flight over closed work areas. This includes aircraft, vehicles, and pedestrians.
