Update - Wakonda Beach State Airport Reopened!
Oregon Department of Aviation sent this bulletin at 04/28/2026 04:18 PM PDT
Update - The runway at the Wakonda Beach State Airport has reopened.
The runway closed temporarily in February due to turf damage resulting from an aircraft accident. With help from local volunteers and ODAV staff, the runway and parking area are good as new!
Turf conditions remain soft, so we encourage pilots to exercise typical soft field precautions, especially if it has rained recently.
