Mulino State Airport Surface Seal Project - Temporary Runway Closure September 9/30-10/1
Oregon Department of Aviation sent this bulletin at 09/18/2025 10:59 AM PDTThe Oregon Department of Aviation is planning a Surface Seal Project at the Mulino State Airport (4S9) that will occur in 2026.
In order to complete design for that project, surveyors will need unimpeded access to the runway for approximately 2 days.
The runway and taxiways at 4S9 will be closed for the following dates and times:
- 7am-6pm* Tuesday September 30th
- 7am-6pm* Wednesday October 1st
Survey work will continue around the taxilanes and apron on Thursday October 2nd, but without surface closures.
*Reopening times are subject to change, we will reopen the runway and taxiways as soon as this work is completed.

(!) When the runway is closed, fixed wing aircraft will not be able to arrive or depart at Mulino until the runway reopens.
(!!) Please check NOTAMs for closure times and the most current airport surface closures. Helicopters may arrive or depart directly to/from open areas of the airport. As always, please remain outside of, and avoid low flight over closed work areas.
Thank you for your patience while we maintain the Mulino State Airport.
