McDermitt Runway and Taxiway Surface Seal Project

The Oregon Department of Aviation is planning to start the McDermitt Runway and Taxiway Surface Seal Project in August 2025.

This project will include crack seal, surface seal, and new pavement markings on the runway and taxiways. 

The runway and taxiways are expected to be closed for 7 days. A detailed schedule and start date will be provided in the coming weeks. 

(!) When the runway is closed, fixed wing aircraft will not be able to arrive or depart at McDermitt until the runway reopens.

(!!) Please check NOTAMs for closure times and the most current airport surface closures. Helicopters may arrive or depart directly to/from open areas of the airport. As always, please remain outside of, and avoid low flight over closed work areas.
