The Runway at the Cape Blanco State Airport (5S6) has reopened.

The runway and electrical project is substantially complete. For the first time in decades, 5S6 has a working beacon, runway edge lighting, and Precision Approach Path Indicators. The runway has been given new life as the center 75 feet was repaved the full 5,100 feet long.
