ODOT invites public to join Oklahoma Active Transportation Plan virtual meetings this month

Greetings,

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is developing its first Active Transportation Plan (ATP), and the department is seeking statewide input from Oklahomans through an online survey and a series of virtual public workshop meetings scheduled later this month.

The Oklahoma ATP will look at the needs of people who walk, bike, use wheelchairs and mobility scooters, pedal and electric scooters, electric bikes, skateboards and more. Active transportation promotes physical activity in safe environments, and it is a key strategy for many TSET grantees and their community partners. Oklahoma ATP meetings can present great opportunities for grantees and partners to learn more of the state plan and share their views on local impacts.

The opinion survey at https://www.okatp.org/ is open through March 1. And in the week of January 23, ODOT will host a series of 10 virtual workshops to share information and gather feedback about active transportation opportunities and challenges. These meetings will be highly interactive and engaging. The virtual meetings are organized by geographic region, though ODOT will present its same information at each meeting.
