In 2017, the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline, a free program of the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) encourages tobacco users to start the New Year with a new approach to quitting.
Those thinking about quitting tobacco this New Year can explore the Helpline to find services that work best for them, and to customize a plan to fit their unique needs. Among the free services available are text and email support, phone and web coaching, free patches, gum or lozenges, and more.

Two school districts were honored in January for their efforts to improve health through the TSET Healthy School District Incentive Grant (HDIG) program.
Hugo Public Schools recently received a $5,000 HDIG award and Clayton Public Schools received a $3,000 grant.
Hugo Public Schools plans on using the funds to purchase health education curriculum, Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) and safety kits.
Clayton Public Schools plans to use the funds to purchase playground equipment.
The TSET HDIG program promotes wellness by making grants available to school districts who have achieved recognition through Certified Healthy Oklahoma.
