THE SHAPE YOUR FUTURE WALK-LAHOMA VIDEO CONTEST

Grab your walking sticks and lace up your sneakers—it’s time for Walk-lahoma!

Walk-lahoma is a video Shape Your Future is creating that shows Oklahomans from all walks of life in action—walking, marching, skipping, jogging, etc.

The video will be comprised of short clips sent in by YOU and your communities! Spread the word and ask friends, family, colleagues and communities to enter their videos!

Once our video is complete, we will enter it in a national video contest presented by the Every Body Walk! Collaborative. If we’re a winner, our video will be aired at the 2nd National Walking Summit in Washington D.C.!

What we need from submissions:

A short video of you walking. It can be anywhere from 10-30 seconds long, and can include you, your organization, your family, friends or neighbors. If you can’t take a video, send us a photo instead!

Have some fun with it, too! Here are some ideas to help you get started:
• Baby’s first steps.
• Take a hike.
• Walk with your grandparents.
• Walk in a large group.
• Be silly—flail your arms, do a crab walk or hop like a frog.
• Moonwalk/walk backwards.
• Walk with your dog.
• Walk near an Oklahoma landmark.

Those who submit videos could win a reward! If your video has the most shares, like and/or comments, you’ll receive a Shape Your Future prize pack, plus your video will be featured in Shape Your Future’s Walk-lahoma video!

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEOS
• Facebook. Videos can be uploaded to the Shape Your Future Facebook wall with the hashtag #WALKLAHOMA.
• Twitter. Videos must be tagged with @ShapeFutureOK and include the hashtag #WALKLAHOMA.
• Email. Videos can also be emailed to ShapeYourFutureOK@gmail.com.

VIDEO-TAKING BEST PRACTICES
• All videos from a mobile device should be filmed horizontally.
• Make sure the volume is turned up on your device.
• Make sure to hold your device steady while filming.
• Videos should be no longer than 30 seconds.
• Photos should not be blurry.

Once you submit your video, be on the lookout for the full Walk-lahoma video on our Facebook page. Like and share it, and don’t forget to vote for it as the winner of the Every Body Walk! Collaborative video contest!

Deadline for submissions is Friday, August 14, 2015.
