Election day is fast approaching with primary elections being held in all 77 Oklahoma counties on Tuesday, June 16. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Service Oklahoma’s voting policy is available here.
Employees who live at such a distance that extended time off would be necessary to vote may speak with their supervisor to discuss a later arrival time or an earlier departure time (for no more than two hours). Time off for voting can only be granted upon request and must be made in advance.
To ensure staffing needs are met, your supervisor may select the hours you can use to vote, but there will be no loss of compensation or any other penalty for the absence. Please note that time off will not be granted if a three-hour voting period exists before or after your normal working hours.
Voters can find their polling place and confirm their eligibility by using the OK Voter Portal.
