We’re excited to share that Service Oklahoma has been recognized with four awards from the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), including three regional awards and one regional and international award.
These recognitions reflect something bigger than the awards themselves. They reflect the work happening across our agency every day to better serve Oklahomans through innovation, collaboration, accessibility and public service.
This year’s submissions were highly competitive, which makes this recognition even more meaningful. Every project recognized was made possible by employees across Service Oklahoma who continue finding new ways to solve problems, support one another and improve the customer experience.
Here’s a look at the work recognized this year:
🏆 Service Award: Excellence in Government Partnership Strengthening Reporting & Public Safety Through Partnership: Service Oklahoma and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Following the passage of Senate Bill 2035, known as the Mason Treat Act, teams across Service Oklahoma moved quickly to implement a new statewide pre-registration process for recently purchased vehicles. In partnership with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, the new process was launched within 90 days, creating a secure and efficient system that improved toll accuracy, enforcement visibility and customer service across the state. The processes implemented by Service Oklahoma and OTA have since allowed the OTA to recoup millions in revenue.
🏆 Communications Award: Publications and Visual Arts Legislative Quad-Fold Booklet Created and designed entirely in-house, the Legislative Quad-Fold Booklet helped clearly communicate who we are as an agency, what services we provide and the impact we make for Oklahomans. The booklet transformed complex information into a clear, visual story that continues to support conversations with legislators, partner agencies and community leaders.
🏆Service Award: Community Service 2025 State Charitable Campaign (SCC) In just our second year to participate in the State Charitable Campaign, Service Oklahoma more than doubled its fundraising total, raising $10,707.26 for the United Way network. More importantly, employees across the state showed up for one another and their communities through events, engagement and generosity. Nearly every employee participated in at least one campaign activity, reinforcing that public service extends far beyond the counter.
🏆Communications Award: Informative Writing Oklahomans Can Now Schedule a Virtual Driver License Reinstatement Visit This press release, which won the regional and international award, highlighted an important step forward in accessibility and convenience for Oklahomans navigating Driver License reinstatement. Since launch, virtual reinstatement visits have helped customers across the state access services more easily, with more than a quarter of compliance visits now taking place virtually and nearly 60% completed virtually or through the online portal.
We’re incredibly proud of what these projects represent and even more proud of the people behind them.
Thank you for the care, creativity and commitment you bring to this agency every day. These awards are a reflection of your work and the impact you continue making across Oklahoma.
