Welcome to Volume 1, Issue 5 of the BOOST Bulletin: a place for bite-sized BOOST updates. We’re cruising toward the launch of BOOST (Bringing Our Operations and Services Together) on Presidents’ Day weekend.
We have an exciting update! We're less than 25 days from launch and full run-throughs have been completed with Service Oklahoma (SOK) and FAST. These detailed sessions walked line by line and through everything that will happen before, during and after BOOST launch. Similar to a dry run, these run-throughs ensure everyone knows their role and is prepared to support a seamless go-live.
To ensure BOOST is ready for launch weekend, a hard code freeze is scheduled to take place on Friday, Jan. 30. After that date, no further changes will be made to the system as we finalize preparations for go-live.
Building Partnerships We’re also getting our partners ready for BOOST and its exciting new features. Law enforcement officials are completing training next week on the new Driver License and State ID. (Our staff will see the new credential next week before the public release.) The card vendor is hosting the training sessions at HQ and in Tulsa.
In addition to local law enforcement, SOK teams are working closely with partners across the state to ensure everyone is prepared for go-live weekend. This includes licensed operators as well as teams that have integrations with our system, like Driver License and Motor Vehicle interface partners. These efforts focus on testing connections and providing training where needed to support a successful launch.
Did you know? BOOST requires planning, testing, verification and a bunch of other processes to ensure the best product possible at the time of launch. With BOOST, users with the appropriate access level will have more than 540 reports available with just a few clicks. For example, approved users can choose a date range to run a transaction summary for all driver license transactions. These reporting capabilities increase convenience and efficiency while providing a more accurate depiction of information. Before BOOST, staff had to request that a query be built to provide the required information, which added time to the process.
To all involved directly or indirectly with BOOST, we say thank you!
