OMES is making a change to improve Windows 11 functionality. Because of this, on Thursday, Sept. 18, you will need to sign back in to the Wi-Fi on your computer or device. Learn more about connecting to the "Oklahoma_Secure" network with this step-by-step guide.
What to do:
- Click on this wifi icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- A list of Wi-Fi networks will pop up.
- Click on "Oklahoma_Secure".
- Type your state username and password. The username is typically your Employee ID and Office 365 password. However, in some cases, it may be your "first initial last name" or "first.last name". (e.g. T.Swift or Taylor.Swift)
- Ensure the Wi-Fi shows “Connected.”
Troubleshooting:
- If your computer fails to connect to "Oklahoma_Secure," try connecting to "Oklahoma_Open." To do so, follow the steps above, but select "Oklahoma_Open" from the available networks. Once connected to "Oklahoma_Open," select Manage known networks (instead of Show available networks), find "Oklahoma_Secure" and select Forget. Try connecting to "Oklahoma_Secure" again and it should prompt for action or to enter username and password.
If you have any issues, submit an OMES ticket or call (405) 521-2444. You can also email the OMES Service Desk at servicedesk@omes.gov.
