As we've shared previously, all supervisors are required to complete annual training that helps build their skills and support their continued success.
New supervisors must complete at least 24 hours of supervisory training within their first year. Current supervisors are expected to complete a minimum of 12 hours of training each year to continue developing professionally and staying up to date with best practices.
For New Supervisors
If you’ve been in a supervisory role with Service Oklahoma for less than 12 months, you’ll need to complete two essential courses as part of your onboarding.
Required courses for all new supervisors include:
For Experienced Supervisors
If you’ve been in a supervisory role for more than 12 months, you’re required to complete 12 hours of training this year. While not mandatory, we strongly encourage revisiting the Progressive Discipline and Performance Management Process courses to keep your skills current.
How to Access Trainings
All trainings are available on Workday. To get started, log into Workday and follow these steps: Menu → Learning → Discover → Browse Learning to find trainings. If you need assistance with enrollment, feel free to contact our Training Team at training@service.ok.gov.
The following Workday courses are great options for reaching your required minimum hours of training:
Completed Workday courses are automatically applied toward your training hours. However, you are not required to take the suggested courses, and you can choose any courses that you feel will be beneficial to your role in management. If you’ve participated in relevant external training, send your certificate, completion email and the training agenda to the Training Team for credit.
Please note a LinkedIn Learning course does not guarantee it will qualify for supervisor training credits and are not automatically approved for supervisor training credit. If you have any questions about a training qualification or other items, please contact Training at training@service.ok.gov.
