We’re excited to bring you Volume 1, Issue 6 of the BOOST Report—your go-to source for updates on Project BOOST, Oklahoma’s new driver license and upgraded motor vehicle system coming in early 2026.
Read on for what’s next in Project BOOST—and as always, share your questions or ideas here.
Wrapping up BOOST Roadshow
Thank you to all who attended the BOOST Roadshow. We received great feedback, thoughtful questions and now we are able to improve BOOST even more thanks to your input. These sessions offered a firsthand look at how BOOST is coming together, and showed how progress continues on the new driver license and motor vehicle system. Thank you again for your participation! We were excited to see such strong engagement across the agency.
Lexi Patterson, a Driver License Examiner in Edmond, looks forward to the rollout of BOOST and was excited to see its capabilities during a Roadshow session.
"The system is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, which will make day-to-day tasks much smoother for everyone," she said. "One of the things I’m most excited about is the increase in speed and overall efficiency. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into streamlining our processes. I’m also particularly enthusiastic about the introduction of virtual DL-10s; transitioning away from paper forms will simplify the process, reduce clutter, and help us work more efficiently."
Marissa Huff, a Motor Vehicle Title Consultant, is also excited for the launch of BOOST.
"I am very excited about the financial aspect of BOOST," she said. "From what I saw, BOOST will help our location Motor Vehicle Team's processing of customer's payment."
Training Timeline
In addition to ongoing testing, another phase of Project BOOST begins in November, with the launch of training video modules and exercises. This progressive training will range from basic video modules, to practice exercises and the ability to explore BOOST with converted D360 data. Training includes three levels: beginner training, job specific training and application training meant for those who utilize and support the system on a daily basis. Please note current MVOneLink users will begin training at the start of the Specifics Tier since they are currently using the system. If you missed the BOOST Roadshow, below are key dates to know:
-
Basics Training for beginners: Nov. 3 – Nov. 28, 2025
-
Specifics Training with job specific training: Dec.1, 2025 – Jan. 9, 2026
-
Application Training for everyday users: Jan. 12 – Feb. 13, 2026
-
Operational Support for all users after go-live: Feb. 17 – Feb. 27, 2026
Data Verification Continues
A team of employees continues to compare data from the current D360 system with BOOST. These users are working closely with FAST to ensure data is transferred correctly and is ready for go-live. Thorough verification early on helps catch issues sooner and sets us up for a smoother rollout. As we are reviewing, correcting and testing the transfer of data from D360 to BOOST, the current error rate is 0.029% in data verification, which is an incredible testament to everyone's hard work and dedication.
Gear Shifts
BOOST is bringing meaningful change to nearly every part of our services. These changes—called Gear Shifts—represent improvements identified during our Definition meetings, driven by employee insight and customer impact. With more than 80 Gear Shifts on the way, we’ll continue highlighting key changes in each edition of the BOOST Report so you have time to get familiar before training begins.
Spotlight Gear Shift:
Automatic Reinstatements
In the current system, customers have to request that their license be reinstated, even after they have met all the requirements. BOOST eliminates this extra step. Once all sanction requirements are met, documents are submitted and applicable fees are paid, reinstatement happens automatically behind the scenes.
What’s new:
- No manual reinstatement request required from the customer
- System triggers automatic reinstatement
- Fewer add-on sanctions expected due to faster processing
Spotlight Gear Shift: Expanded Access to Disability Placards
Previously, disability placards could only be requested in person at the OKC-Classen location at SOK Headquarters. BOOST expands access by allowing applications at any Service Oklahoma licensing and exam location, with improved verification and a smoother process for customers and staff alike.
What’s new:
- Applications accepted at all SOK Licensing and Exam locations
- System runs a verification check for duplicates
- Placards are provided immediately at the OKC-Classen location or the placard will be mailed
Booster Club Updates
Booster Club Chairman Ed Ward continues to travel weekly across the state, meeting with driver license examiners and frontline staff to discuss BOOST, answer questions and gather real-time feedback.
Here’s a quick recap from Ed: “In my recent visits, I’ve had some great conversations with staff about BOOST. In Clinton, I was able to demonstrate BOOST to all four examiners that were in the office. They were all happy with the direction we are going with the new system and some of what I call ‘guard rails’ that are built in to help prevent errors in the issuance transactions.”
“In Hinton, I was able to demonstrate BOOST to a driver license examiner who is looking forward to what is coming. I was also met with positive feedback during my visits to Altus and Stillwater. The examiners are getting excited about this system the more they see it.”
Ed and other Booster Club members will continue visiting field offices throughout the summer. If you see them, stop and say hello—and don’t hesitate to ask questions or share what you're hearing.
