Governor Stitt Signs House Bill 1183
As session comes to an end in the coming days, we’re sharing the latest on legislative news impacting Service Oklahoma.
Governor Stitt signed HB1183 into law which changes how motor vehicle excise tax is determined for vehicle purchases. It requires the tax to be based on the actual sales price of the vehicle and eliminates the 20% adjustment above and below the NADA value when determining the taxable value.
The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2026 to allow Service Oklahoma time to adjust for the change.
News Station FOX 23 in Tulsa reported on this update.
More updates to come after session ends, including a summary of legislation impacting our services and operations.
