Service Oklahoma's REAL ID Initiatives Reach More Oklahomans. With less than two weeks until federal REAL ID enforcement begins on May 7, more TV stations and newspapers are covering our efforts to help Oklahomans get their gold-star credentials.
NEWS 9 in Oklahoma City and KJRH 2 News in Tulsa reminded Oklahomans that a REAL ID, or other acceptable form of identification, like a passport, will be required to fly starting May 7. Both stations noted that residents can also obtain a REAL ID after the deadline. KFOR in Oklahoma City and The Tahlequah Daily Press newspaper also reminded residents of the rapidly approaching deadline.
As a reminder, we are offering after-hours appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at select locations through the end of the year.
The Oklahoman also shared tips with readers on how to avoid long wait times, promoting Service Oklahoma’s online waitlist. The article included a list of needed documents to get a REAL ID and explained how to check if your ID is already REAL ID compliant.
As awareness continues to grow across the state, thank you for helping Oklahomans get the information they need ahead of the May 7 deadline.
