I want to share an important update as we prepare for a full return to in-office work and make a few upcoming changes to our space on the Classen campus.
As you may recall, an executive order issued on Dec. 18 requires all full-time State of Oklahoma employees to return to in-office work. Service Oklahoma will be fully complying with this directive, and all employees will return to the office full-time starting May 1, 2025.
As part of this transition, we’ll be shifting out of the expanded area in Building 16 that we moved into last summer.
We recognize this change comes after many of you have settled into new spaces over the past year. As we navigate this transition, we’re focused on creating a setup that brings teams closer together and better supports the way we work.
Here’s how we’re moving forward:
- Starting May 1, Service Oklahoma will begin using space in Building 5, located across the customer parking lot or east of Building 4.
- We’ll continue to maintain a presence in Building 16. Motor Vehicle Supply, Central Processing, Licensed Operator IT Support and the loading dock operations will remain in place.
- Workspace assignments are being reviewed to best support team collaboration and long-term success:
- Some teams that had expanded into Building 16 will move back to Building 4 or over to Building 5.
- A few teams currently in Building 4 may also move to Building 5 to better align workgroups and support agency needs.
Supervisors will begin sharing updates with their teams next week, and we’ll follow up with moving timelines and transition support as details are finalized. If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to your supervisor.
Thanks for your continued flexibility, teamwork and everything you do to support Service Oklahoma and the people we serve.
