We’re officially shifting into high gear on our 2025 REAL ID push and we’re excited to bring the entire Service Oklahoma team along for the ride!
In the coming weeks, we’ll roll out our statewide REAL ID public awareness campaign titled “No, Really.” Running through the end of the year, the campaign is designed to remind Oklahomans that the May 7 federal deadline is real—and quickly approaching. Through radio spots, digital billboards, social media and a touch of humor, we’re helping people understand what a REAL ID is, decide if they need one and take action.
But public awareness is only part of the strategy. The real magic happens because of you.
Expanded Access: Get a REAL ID When You Need One A REAL ID is not required to drive or for identification within Oklahoma, but it will be required to board domestic flights or enter certain federal facilities starting May 7, 2025. While not every Oklahoman will need or choose to get one, our goal is to ensure those who do have every opportunity to apply ahead of their travel or access needs.
To support that, we’re expanding access across the state:
-
REAL ID Mondays and Wednesdays: After-hours appointments available from 6–8 p.m.
-
REAL ID Saturdays: Saturday appointments offered throughout May
-
Deadline Week: Evening appointments available every night May 5–9
-
Seasonal Saturdays: Weekend service continues through October
These extended hours are available at six high-demand locations: Chickasha, Hinton, Muskogee, OKC Classen, Stillwater and Tulsa Eastgate.
These expanded options are only possible because of the dedication and flexibility of our team members. To everyone helping make them happen—thank you. We’re incredibly proud of the expanded access we’re able to provide for Oklahomans.
Stay Connected: New Weekly Updates To keep the momentum going, we’re launching a weekly email series starting next week—featuring milestones, team shoutouts and campaign highlights. It’s our way of celebrating progress and keeping everyone in the loop on what’s ahead.
We’ll also be launching a REAL ID Campaign Hub on the intranet, which will include:
- Leaderboards for individuals and locations
- Prize drawings for those working extended hours
- Opportunities for all staff to get involved—from engagement ideas to customer stories and more
Every REAL ID issued helps someone travel, access services and move through life a little easier. Whether you’re on the frontlines, behind the scenes or helping spread the word, you’re part of a statewide effort to provide best-in-class service to our fellow Oklahomans.
Stay tuned, stay aware and get ready to celebrate everything we’re accomplishing together.
Let’s make it happen—No, Really.
