New CDL Testing Enhancements Improve Efficiency and Readiness for Oklahoma’s Commercial Drivers
A statewide press release will be issued today announcing the launch of the Commercial Driver License (CDL) Modernized Skills Test across the state. These updates create a more streamlined, consistent and efficient drive test experience for CDL applicants—supporting workforce development and improving access throughout Oklahoma.
Key updates include a standardized test format with clear expectations and no surprise maneuvers, shorter, simplified pre-trip inspection and online scheduling now available through Service Oklahoma’s check-in system.
“These updates make CDL drive tests more accessible and practical for drivers while ensuring Oklahoma continues to have a strong, prepared workforce,” said Diedra O’Neil, Chief Strategy & Operating Officer.
