News Stations Share Newest Option to Reinstate Driver License For customers looking to reinstate their Driver Licenses, there's now a third option, prompting TV stations across Oklahoma to share it with their viewers.
On Thursday, we officially announced Reinstatement Virtual Visits, which allows customers with suspended licenses to speak directly with a Service Oklahoma compliance officer via their computers or mobile devices. During a same-day virtual visit, the customer can not only ask questions about the ways to reinstate their driving privileges but also exchange documents and complete payments. We have a dedicated webpage that walks them through each step.
From Thursday evening through Friday, KWTV News 9 in Oklahoma City, KFOR News Channel 4 in Oklahoma City and its CW affiliate, KAUT, KOTV News on 6 in Tulsa and its CW affiliate, KQCW, and KSWO 7News in Lawton told their viewers about the new virtual visit program, expanding the number of options for our customers so they can pick what's right for them. The alternatives include directly applying for a reinstatement online using our Reinstatement Eligibility Check Form and portal or visiting a select SOK location in person.
Since its soft launch, 1,950 customers have scheduled virtual visits with us to reinstate their licenses. Meanwhile, more than 80,000 Oklahomans have applied for reinstatements online since 2022. As for in-person reinstatements, we helped more than 39,000 customers last year alone.
Now that news of Reinstatement Virtual Visits has spread across the state, we are excited to see more Oklahomans experience the added convenience of this service!
