News 9 Promotes Service Oklahoma's Online Checklist With less than three months to go until the federal REAL ID deadline, News 9 is reminding Oklahomans about Service Oklahoma's REAL ID Checklist, an interactive online tool that explains to customers what documents they need to apply for the credential. The station ran stories last night and this morning, telling viewers that starting May 7, they will need a REAL ID to board domestic flights, visit military bases or certain federal buildings, unless they have an unexpired U.S. passport or another acceptable form of ID.
Since the start of this year, about 10,400 people have completed the REAL ID Checklist, showing the value of having this feature on our dedicated REAL ID webpage. In fact, that page alone has seen more than 42,000 unique visitors Jan. 1. Thanks in part to these resources, our staff and licensed operator partners have issued more than 2 million REAL IDs! We are grateful for your hard work and look forward to boosting that number even more with a variety of public awareness strategies in the months ahead.
