Today marks one year since Service Oklahoma became its own state agency! This anniversary is a perfect time to celebrate the achievements we’ve reached together, thanks to each of you. a video from Jay and Diedra.
From modernizing services to making government interactions easier for Oklahomans, we’re on our way to becoming the most customer-centric state in America. Here’s a look at some of this year’s milestones:
Innovation and Service Excellence
-
New Drive Test Centers: In Oklahoma City and Broken Arrow, new drivers are now welcomed to a more efficient, streamlined testing experience.
-
Vehicle Pre-Registration: Since September, our pre-registration process ensures newly purchased vehicles are registered within days, backed by the “Ready, Set, Tag!” campaign to help citizens navigate this new process with ease.
-
Virtual License Reinstatements: Oklahomans with suspended licenses now have the flexibility of virtual visits with Compliance Officers, making reinstatement more accessible than ever.
Supporting Communities Across Oklahoma
-
Enhanced Services at Licensed Operators: We’ve expanded services, like out-of-state transfers and original licenses, ensuring that 95% of Oklahomans are within 20 minutes of a Service Oklahoma location providing essential services.
-
Disaster Response in Barnsdall: In response to severe weather, we quickly mobilized to offer credential and vehicle registration support, partnering with the Department of Emergency Management.
Making the Customer Experience Smoother
-
Live Wait Map and Online Check-In: From online check-in to our live wait map and expanded Saturday hours, customers now experience shorter waits and greater convenience.
-
Sweet Sixteen Guarantee: Thanks to new legislation, teens can start the learner permit process at 15, with a guaranteed drive test appointment on their 16th birthday, giving families a smooth and memorable path to their first license.
-
Aircraft Registration Services: Service Oklahoma now manages all aircraft registration statewide, with convenient online options.
Looking Ahead: Project BOOST and More Next year, Project BOOST will bring an all-new driver license system, combining driver license and motor vehicle services into one seamless platform. And that’s just the start—we’re moving toward fully electronic liens and titles, offering online written tests and preparing for the REAL ID deadline.
Celebrating Our Team: Introducing the Impact Pin Program! To honor your incredible contributions, we’re excited to launch the new Impact Pin Program. Starting today, each of you will receive a commemorative anniversary pin as a token of appreciation. Going forward, pins will recognize team members’ efforts on major projects and milestones.
