Halloween is almost here and we want to add some spooky fun to the office! On Thursday, Oct. 31, we’re inviting all Service Oklahoma employees to show off their creativity by wearing work-appropriate costumes. Whether you go for a classic Halloween look, a favorite character or something completely unique, we can’t wait to see how you get into the spirit!
To make the day even more fun, we’ll be hosting a Halloween Costume Contest, with both individuals and teams encouraged to participate. Submit a photo of you and your teammates in costume to sokcommunications@service.ok.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 31. We’ll announce the winners the following week.
As always, please ensure your costumes follow the Service Oklahoma Dress Code policy, which you can find here, along with a few Halloween specific guidelines listed below. This will help us all ensure the holiday is celebrated in a respectful and professional manner.
|
-
Appropriate Attire: Costumes should be tasteful and appropriate for a work environment. Please avoid costumes that are offensive, revealing or express political viewpoints and do not bring any replica weapons into work.
-
Professionalism and Safety: While Halloween is a festive occasion, employees are expected to maintain professionalism. Employees wearing costumes must be able to perform all their job duties without distracting others or creating a safety hazard. Employees should be prepared to change into appropriate attire if needed or for external meetings.
-
Halloween Masks Are Prohibited: Employees may not wear Halloween masks as part of their costume. This does not include medical masks employees may choose to wear.
Happy Halloween. We’re excited to see everyone’s costumes!
