To: Superintendents, Principals, DTCs,
Your district report card is complete and available on the SDE Single Sign-On at https://sdeweb01.sde.ok.gov. The district report cards are based on the site grades approved by the State Board of Education on November 6. District grades will be released to the public early afternoon tomorrow, November 15.
How are the district report cards calculated?
The district report cards are calculated using the same formulas used for site report cards.
- For the Student Achievement section (50% of the overall grade), all scores were combined in like subjects and the percent proficient were calculated for each subject.
- For the Overall Student Growth (25% of overall grade) and Bottom Quartile Student Growth (25% of overall grade) the total growth points from all qualifying students at all sites were combined. The growth point total is divided by the total number of qualifying students at all sites. As with site report cards, qualifying students are any students who have two years of scores on a like subject with the same test type (OCCT/EOI, OMAAP, OAAP).
- Districts are eligible to receive 10 bonus points under criteria applicable to the highest grade served by the district (see Table 26 from the 2013 A-F Guide below).
Why might there be more students in the performance section on the district report card than on the site report cards?
- If a district had 8th grade EOI scores from previous years that were added to the high school site(s), they were not included in the district report card since those scores were counted for the district in previous years. If the district had NFAY students at some sites, but the same students were FAY for the district, then there will be more students included in the district report card calculations than the sum of the students from each site.
