Third Reminder: Oklahoma Acuity End-of-Instruction and Grades 3-8 Benchmark Program

SUBJECT:    Third Reminder: Oklahoma Acuity End-of-Instruction and Grades 3–8 Benchmark Program

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is very excited to continue to offer a Benchmark tool for End-of-Instruction (EOI) Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, English II, English III and Grades 3–8 Math, Reading, and Writing.  Acuity is the benchmark assessment system from CTB/McGraw-Hill, which will host the EOI and Grades 3–8 Benchmarks, free to all public school districts administering the EOI and Grades 3–8 Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests (OCCT). 

Acuity is aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards in mathematics and English language arts which can be used in preparation for the new generation of assessments, item types, and performance tasks that will be assessed beginning in 2014–2015.  A tightly integrated system of authentic, balanced assessment solutions helps high school students build 21st century skills essential for college and career success and prepares students in grades 3–8 for the next course or grade.
