Introducing the Oklahoma Teacher Recruitment Committee — Join the Conversation!
The Oklahoma State Department of Education is launching a Teacher Recruitment Committee to support school districts across the state in their efforts to attract and retain high-quality educators. We recognize that each district faces unique challenges when it comes to teacher recruitment and we believe those working on the front lines have valuable insight and ideas to share.
This committee will create a collaborative space for district leaders and staff involved in recruitment to come together regularly to:
- Discuss barriers and challenges in hiring
- Share best practices and effective strategies
- Build a network of support across districts
Our first virtual meeting will take place on Thursday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom. We invite you or the person in your district who leads recruitment efforts to join us.
