Weapons Reporting is Now Paperless
Gun-free Schools Act and Annual School Incident Report application is now open for 24-25 firearm incident reporting.
Weapons reporting is now paperless.
OSDE no longer requires a paper form be faxed in or emailed for any incident, including knives. When a firearm incident occurs, the Firearm Incident Form tab in the Gun-free Schools Act and Annual School Incident Report application must be completed and certified within two weeks of the occurrence. DO NOT include incidents with toy guns, cap guns, BB Guns and/or pellet guns.
If any firearm incidents occurred prior to September 23, districts will still need to report them in the Firearm Incident Form tab.
The Firearm tab will be available for districts to use until July 19th, 2025.
Oklahoma Challenge's DriveWell Go™ App Contest
This contest combines technology and cash incentives to encourage drivers to be the safest drivers they can be. This year, Oklahoma Challenge has again partnered with Cambridge Mobile Telematics, Inc. to provide a powerful tool in the form of a free app that reinforces safe driving behaviors after every drive, helping users become safer and better drivers. The DriveWell Go™ app automatically detects when driving starts and stops and uses a smartphone’s sensors to measure: Phone use, Speeding, Acceleration, Hard braking, and Overall best.
When students participate in this contest, they show improvements in their driving and a reduction in distracted driving. We know that this saves lives!
