The Instruction Materials review process (better known as state textbook adoption) has begun for fine arts subjects. Committees of Oklahoma fine arts (music, visual arts, speech/drama/debate) educators are reviewing proposed materials from a variety of publishers. The committee review process will end in October. Teachers and administrators may review the proposed materials at a review site located in congressional districts across the state until October 31.
In November, the State Textbook Committee will review and finalize recommendations from the review committees. Approved materials will be placed on the state textbook list and districts may begin reviewing their options once materials are posted.
