Oklahoma Computer Science Framework

Oklahoma State Department of Education is excited to announce the release of Phase 1 of the Oklahoma Computer Science Framework, developed in collaboration with Oklahoma educators to support the implementation of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Computer Science (OAS-CS). This framework provides essential tools and resources designed to help you deliver high-quality computer science education to our students.

Phase 1 includes comprehensive analyses for each OAS-CS standard, featuring:

• Standard in a Nutshell: A brief summary of each standard's objectives.
• Student Actions: Clear descriptions of what students should be doing to demonstrate their understanding.
• Teacher Actions: Practical guidelines to support your teaching and student achievement.
• Key Concepts: Core ideas that are central to each standard.
• Misconceptions: Common misunderstandings and strategies to address them.

This framework is part of our ongoing commitment to providing educators with the best possible resources. It will be regularly updated and improved based on your feedback and the needs of the educational community.
