Spring In The Air

We are nearing the end of the school year, which means many of us are getting ready for state assessments, finalizing the final exams, and starting to plan the next school year. Whatever mode you're in, be sure to enjoy the beautiful weather and enjoy some down time. We have a lot coming up this summer in terms of workshops and learning opportunities, so we hope to see you at them over the summer!

Call for Manuscripts/Articles/Reviewers

The Oklahoma Journal of School Mathematics is accepting any and all article, review, or summary manuscripts. You do not need to be a member of the Oklahoma Council of Mathematics (OCTM) to submit a manuscript or article. You also do not have to submit a research-based article. Feel free t0 write about an activity you do in your classroom, summarize a published piece or review a professional resource. Anyone can submit a manuscript. You don't have to be a professor or researcher. In fact, some of the most meaningful pieces come from classroom teachers on the frontlines finding creative ways to teach math, deepen student learning, and spread joy in the math world! Yes, this means YOU! Not to mention, how awesome it is to be a published author in an official peer-reviewed journal!

We have four main manuscript categories:

  • Teacher to Teacher - What activities work for your learners?
  • Teacher Research - Share the research that you conducted in your classroom.
  • Research Summary - Share the research that you are reading by sharing a summary of related literature.
  • Professional Resources - What professional resources have you found helpful?
