FY 2024 Redbud School Grant

Dear Superintendent,

In 2023, the 59th Oklahoma Legislature passed two bills on Redbud School Grants. Senate Bill 1120 calculates funding above the State Baseline and House Bill 2901 increases the appropriation to $125,000,000.  

We were happy to allocate the initial allocation of the FY 2024 Redbud School Grant on January 12 with the payment effective on January 18, 2024. As usual, the allocation adjustment will happen in June to distribute the remaining funds received.  

For clarification, the Redbud School Grant is calculated using the prior year average daily membership, one-fourth of the county four-mill, and the building fund revenue.

The FY 2024 Redbud School Grant Calculation report is located on the State Aid Web page of the Department of Education’s Website.  

FY 2024 Redbud School Grant Report: 

  • Col. 1 – FY 2024 Initial Allocation and Payment  
  • Col. 2 through Col. 12 is the calculation 
  • Col. 13 – FY 2024 Redbud School Grant Calculation – Calculation is total Projected Amount to Receive for FY 2024. 
  • Col. 14 – Total Cash Receipts as of 1/11/24 
  • Col. 15 – 0.5% Amount Withheld for Administrative Fees 
  • Col. 16 – Available Funds for Allocation as of 1/11/24 
  • Col. 17 – Prorate Factor of the Full Redbud School Grant Calculation (50.24%)
