FAQ Document FY24 Important Dates
The Teaching Out of Certification Exemption Request (TOCER) form is for programs that meet the 16 components for Alternative Education Programs. (70 O.S. § 1210-568).
"Teachers must be certified teachers but are not restricted to grade-specific or subject specific areas. Assignments out of regular subject area(s) or grade level(s) certification requires State Department of Education approval.” (OAC Section 210:35-29-6). Access the TOCER form here. Forms are due Oct. 1.

Documents should be uploaded as .PDF or .JPEG files. Label documents according to the FY (fiscal year). Also be sure to label each document with the appropriate criteria number and letter. Digital Evidence school year clarifications:
● Current data (FY24) should be used for criteria 1, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 14. The evidence for these criteria need to be uploaded after school starts in the Fall.
● Current (FY24) and/or previous year’s data can be used for criteria 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16. Some of the evidence for these criteria can be uploaded in the last few weeks of the school year or over the summer.
• Final due date - October 1.

FY 24 ALTed Talks
Putnam Heights in Oklahoma City had a “Slide into a House Party” event and created a VIP retro arcade room for the team with the most points (grades, behavior, etc.) for the week. Students are divided into teams, with a digital scoreboard posted around the school showing current standings. Students also participated in a nighttime cross country run.
