Listed below are reminders and deadlines for upcoming items. Please contact your specialist with any questions!

Districtwide Student Needs Assessment Update

The drop out information for 2021-2022 has been updated on your district's Student Needs Assessment for FY23. Please print off the updated report.

ARS or Wave Issues

If you having issues with ARS or the WAVE please contact studentdatainfo@sde.ok.gov  The student data team will be working on the WAVE until July 24th, there maybe times you will not be able to log-on.

Statutory Waiver/Deregulation

This is the application for districts who serve less than 10 students or operate with abbreviated hours/days. Please remember this document must be approved by your school board and the state school board. Don't delay getting this completed this summer. These applications are due October 1. Access the Statutory Waiver here.

Teaching Out of Certification Exemption Requests

The Teaching Out of Certification Exemption Request (TOCER) form is for Alternative Education teachers in programs that meet the 16 components for Alternative Education Programs. (70 O.S. § 1210-568).
"Teachers must be certified teachers but are not restricted to grade-specific or subject specific areas. Assignments out of regular subject area(s) or grade level(s) certification requires State Department of Education approval.” (OAC Section 210:35-29-6).

Digital Folders for 16 Criteria Evidence Upload

Email Emily Hicks (emily.hicks@sde.ok.gov) to access your district’s FY 24 digital compliance folders. You may begin uploading documentation as soon as you have access.
Documents should be uploaded as .PDF or .JPEG files.
Be sure to label each document with the appropriate criteria number and letter.
Digital Evidence school year clarifications:

Current data (FY24) should be used for criteria 1, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 14. The evidence for these criteria need to be uploaded after school starts in the Fall.

FY23 or FY24 data may be used for criteria 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16.

Final due date - October 1.

Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Authorization to Pay Forms

If your district is the LEA of a Co-Op, coordinate with your sending schools the completion of a MOU and Authorization to Pay form.
Documents need to be completed, approved by both school boards, and sent to the LEA of the Co-Op.
Completed documents should be uploaded into each district's digital folders

2. OKCollegeStart New User Webinar

Thursday, August 3, 2023 10 - 11 a.m.
Whether you're new to OKCollegeStart or are a returning user looking for a refresher, join us to review the basics of the OKCollegeStart website. This webinar will introduce the various features available to students and educators on OKCollegeStart and review how to meet Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP) requirements using the website. There will also be time to ask any questions you have! This webinar will be recorded and shared with anyone who registers.
