S.M.A.R.T Goals

In order to have attainable objectives for your program, you must have clearly set goals.

Here is a template to assist you in creating specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time specific objectives.

Oklahoma Arts Council New Grant

The Oklahoma Arts Council’s (OAC) newest grant for Alternative Education School sites, Performing Arts Experience Grants for Alternative Education (PAE) has now launched. We hope you will be able to take advantage of this new opportunity!

Important things to note:

• This grant can ONLY be used for performing arts events (dance, drama, music, and/or media arts – not visual arts events). It can be used either for the costs of traveling to an event OR the costs of hiring a performer and bringing them to your school.
• Applications are due no later than 60 days before the date of your event, and awards have a maximum award of $2,000 each with no required match. A school can only apply for one PAE grant per school year.
• If a school already has a login, the Grant Contact should already be able to see this application when they log into our grant system at arts.ok.gov. Please let me know if they do not see the PAE application.
• If a school does not have a login for our grant system, they can begin that process here: https://arts.ok.gov/Grants/Login_Request.html

Eligible programs:

• Attached is a Performing Arts Experience Calendar to help you find events that may be a good fit for your students. This is not a comprehensive list. Schools may request funding for performing arts experiences not listed on the calendar.
• For all programs, it is the school’s responsibility to contact the presenting organization to make arrangements 
• Your school’s Grant Contact must make arrangements for their group to attend a performance, whether or not it is listed in this calendar.
• Please contact me with any questions about the eligibility of a performance NOT listed on the Performing Arts Experience Calendar BEFORE you submit an application for funding. 
• The Oklahoma Arts Council does NOT fund culinary arts, martial arts, historical reenactments, and projects that include religious proselytizing. (This is not a comprehensive list of ineligible projects – please contact me with any questions.)
