Oklahoma PTA has partnered with statewide education and parent organizations to plan Take Your Legislator to School Week, Nov. 11-18.
The goal of this outreach event is to foster connections between legislators and public schools by giving legislators the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time (3+ hours) in a school setting where they can see the challenges and triumphs of the average school day.

The CDC has shared a new resource for school administrators and staff members related to monkeypox: Monkeypox Toolkit for Schools and Early Care and Education Programs. This toolkit provides a new, user-friendly format for existing monkeypox considerations in schools. The risk of monkeypox to children and adolescents in the United States remains low. Although the monkeypox virus can infect anyone – including children – the majority of cases continue to occur in adult populations.
If you have any questions, contact Jennifer Lepard at jennifer.lepard@sde.ok.gov.
