The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) intends to offer a second round of the Oklahoma Classroom Learning and School Supplies (CLASS) Grant this fall.
Now is the time to complete your DonorsChoose district partnership agreements to ensure that all grant-funded items selected by teachers are compatible with and approved by your district’s administration.
After creating a district partnership with DonorsChoose, districts can access a crowdfunding policy, custom district reporting, district technology guidelines and principal notifications.
Due to recent fraudulent activity, all staff names and emails have been removed from the OSDE directory. The website will continue to list main department phone numbers and group email addresses.
In light of this change, an OSDE staff directory spreadsheet has been added to Single Sign-On (SSO) under Forms & Links. Note: District and school staff will need SSO login credentials to access the spreadsheet.
Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience.
The October 1 Consolidated Report is now open in the WAVE and must be certified by Oct. 21. Please note that this report has an impact on accreditation and several funding sources.

Special Education Child Count Certification
As a reminder, certification of the Special Education Child Count Report is NOT a separate process this year. The SSO Child Count application is permanently offline.
When superintendents certify their October 1 Consolidated Report, they will simultaneously certify the Child Count. Please ensure that the Special Education list in the Consolidated Report is accurate and complete for each site before certifying.
If your school or district is interested in receiving funding for additional school counseling or mental health services, please fill out the School Counselor Corps application.
One-time awards will be granted for a two-year cycle and must be obligated by September 2024.
Please note: Funding for positions is LIMITED, and grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Applications are due Oct. 25. Districts are limited to apply for three NEW positions, and not all positions are guaranteed to be funded.

OSDE and the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) are working together to develop resources and professional development to help support school districts and teachers as they implement the provisions of the Health Education Act, which will go into effect by the 2023-24 school year.
To support schools and teachers, OSDE and OSDH have developed a survey to better understand the needs that currently exist within districts. The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous.
Complete the survey here.
Please share the survey link with any staff member who currently teaches or may begin teaching health education within your district and/or school.
The survey will close Nov. 11.
