The Sutton Art Award goes Virtual

Due to the sudden return to distance learning for so many Oklahoma schools, the George Miksch Sutton Avian Research Center’s eighteenth annual statewide Sutton Art Award will go virtual again this year. Submission deadlines are extended through Monday, January 31st at 5:00 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, entries will be submitted and judged online. Details about the Showcase and Awards Ceremony will be posted on the Sutton website and sent via email to all participants and teachers. A gallery will be displayed on the Sutton Avian Research Center’s website.

Online submissions began on January 3. In support of the many Oklahoma art teachers who have worked diligently with students to prepare artwork, but are now unable to submit the entries due to school closures, the submission portal will remain open through Monday, January 31st at 5:00 p.m. For more information and entry details visit Sutton’s website.
