Aggregated assessment data from last spring's state assessments will be available for district and school leaders to review on Thursday. While examining your site’s student assessment performance, we urge you to also examine local variables (enrollment, participation, instructional conditions, etc.). Doing so will allow for performance to be considered through the lens of local context before next steps are determined.
To support this, the OSDE is providing the following tools and resources:
Thursday
- School- and district-level aggregate assessment data available in the Accountability Reporting application in Single Sign-On and OSTP Data Portal
- SY21 Interpretation Overview and District/Administrator toolkit available on Assessment Guidance page to support local score interpretations
- Register in advance for an Interpreting State Test Scores webinar:
Sept. 28
Sept. 30
- Data available in the Parent Portal
If you have questions, contact the Office of Assessments at assessments@sde.ok.gov.
Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a program that helps children who would have received free or reduced-price meals at school if not for the COVID-19 pandemic. Students who qualify will receive a debit card preloaded with funds that can be used for groceries. All benefits should be disbursed by mid-October.
For the 2020-21 school year, schoolchildren must meet two important eligibility requirements:
- Children must have been enrolled in a school district that participates in a federal meal program where meals are served at a school, and
- Children must qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on income and have turned in the free or reduced-priced meals application to school for 2020-21, OR be enrolled in a school that participated in the Community Eligible Provision, Provision 2 or Provision 3 federal program in 2020-21.
There is no application process for these benefits. Families will receive benefits automatically if their school has identified to the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) that a student qualifies.
To learn more about eligibility requirements, what role your school plays in the program, and other details about P-EBT, OSDE developed a set of Frequently Asked Questions.

OSDE is soliciting recommendations for Presidential Scholars, one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students. Educators may recommend an outstanding senior student who is scheduled to graduate between January and June 2022.
Scholars will be selected based on outstanding leadership in the areas of academic achievement, community involvement and positive character. As you form your recommendation, consider what makes the student stand out as having exemplary scholarship.
- Has the student overcome special challenges or hurdles while still achieving high academic success?
- Has the student engaged in consistent service learning that has impacted the school and community?
- Does the student exhibit innate leadership qualities that build relationships and empower others?
We encourage educators to tell the student's story and be their champion for this honor of excellence. Each year, up to 161 students are selected.
Recommend an Oklahoma senior here.
NOTE: Recommendations do not guarantee nominations. Students can only be nominated through OSDE and not directly with the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. More than one student from each school can be submitted for recommendation; however, only ONE recommendation per student will be accepted. Please notify your principal of the recommendation to avoid duplications. OSDE will nominate the most outstanding students from the recommendation pool.
Please submit your recommendations by Oct. 29.

School districts are required to share certain information annually with their local boards of education. Two such reporting requirements are district/site dropout rates and the college remediation rates in science, English, math and reading development for college freshman students (listed by high school district). These reports typically reflect data from the previous year and current school year information may not be available.
