Survey for the Oklahoma Summit on Behavior and Climate in Schools: Phase Two
In our continued efforts to develop well-informed recommendations to address the social-emotional and behavioral needs present in Oklahoma Schools, the Oklahoma State Department of Education is initiating our second Oklahoma Summit on Behavior and Climate in Schools. Aligning with our existing vision and mission, we are once again reaching out to potential stakeholders across the state to participate.
We would greatly appreciate your taking a few minutes to complete this survey regarding the types of behavioral and mental health concerns present in our schools, as well as your input related to the underlying causes of these critical issues.
Thank you in advance for your time and participation!
Summit Vision-An Oklahoma where all students can learn in a positive, supportive, and safe environment.
Summit Mission- To positively impact the climate and culture of Oklahoma Schools by developing well informed recommendations for legislative, pre-service and in-service supports, based on input from stakeholders as well as objective sources of data, designed to address the social-emotional and behavioral needs present in Oklahoma Schools.
OSDE has some exciting news to share regarding expanding Medicaid in our School Based Health Services program.
If your district is or is considering participating in the fee-for-service (FFS) Medicaid program that reimburses some of the costs expended to support health services (such as Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy in the student’s IEP) your district is also eligible to receive reimbursement for Medicaid Administrative Claim (MAC) activities. These MAC activities may include health related outreach, coordination, referrals, and training functions that support health-related services provided to your students. Effective October 2021 school districts may be reimbursed additional federal dollars for these MAC activities that your staff are already performing in schools.
Public Consulting Group (PCG) and OSDE are hosting three (3) upcoming MAC information sessions that will go over some general topics. We encourage your participation and questions during these information sessions regarding this new opportunity.
For general information about FFS or MAC, see flyer here. To register for one of the information sessions please click here.
If you have any questions, please email okmac@pcgus.com or jrobison@pcgus.com.
