Announcing a NEW math online learning module! In the survey I sent out in the OKMath December newsletter (survey is still open), many of you indicated you were interested in learning about formative assessments and providing formative feedback. You also overwhelmingly requested online learning modules that you could complete on your own time.
The newest math module is called MATHEMATICS- PLC Common Assessment Discussion, Implementation, and Analysis, and it focuses on using and analyzing assessments as a professional learning community. If you don't have a professional learning community available in your school, I encourage you to use the OKMath Facebook group to form a virtual PLC.
Once you complete this module, you will have access to performance assessments, student work samples, rubrics, and more. Grab a team of math teachers (from your school or from this Facebook group) and have some learning fun!
Also, don't forget about the other online learning module also focusing on formative assessment, MATHEMATICS- FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT PROBES.
To access the learning modules:
- Go to https://osdeconnect.ok.gov/
- Sign up for a free account
- Once logged in, select the "+" and search "mathematics" to see both math options
- Have fun learning!
Email christine.koerner@sde.ok.gov with any questions.
