Gifted Education Report Webinar

webinar

Every October district leaders must complete their annual Gifted Education Report. This year, we have made the report more user-friendly and added in new options so districts have the latest information from the WAVE at their fingertips. Join Robbyn Glinsmann on Thursday, September 19 at 10 AM as she walks you through the new report and answers questions. Registration is now available.

2019-20 Professional Learning Focus

family engagement

Each year in Oklahoma, teachers are asked to choose a Professional Learning (PL) Focus. With the PL Focus, teachers now have a front-row seat to their own professional learning and can tailor it to their needs and, more importantly, the needs of their students.

For the 2019-20 school year, Gifted and Talented teachers across Oklahoma will have the opportunity to choose Family Engagement as their PL Focus and receive free professional development opportunities, quarterly live webinars, and even a book study in which to participate. More details will be coming in early September regarding the PD regional meeting locations and dates as well as the title for the book study.

Classroom Resource - STEM Teaching Tools

The STEM Teaching Tools website has tools that can help you teach science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  Each practice brief is focused on a specific issue and leverages the best knowledge from research and practice. With over 61 practice briefs available, a large variety of ideas are presented to make STEM teaching more equitable and accessible so every student can learn science and mathematics in a meaningful way.
