Hosted by Oklahoma State University in partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, this training will engage teachers in effective teaching strategies and researched-based practices for math education. The training will be held July 10-11, 2019, in Stillwater. The cost is $100. (The actual cost is $400 per teacher; however, the OSDE is providing $300 per teacher partial scholarships).
The Open Up Resources free math curriculum (grades 6-8) will be used as a framework for this training, but all math teachers can benefit from the teaching strategies presented. School districts are required to run a yearly Program 251 Expenditure Report of how gifted and talented money was spent within the district. Reports must be submitted to the Gifted and Talented Office by Aug. 1, 2019. You may code more than your generated amount so it does not have to be coded to the exact penny. Once your report is received and the expenditures are reviewed, you will receive an email confirmation. Email this report or questions to Robbyn Glinsmann at Robbyn.Glinsmann@sde.ok.gov.
Fiscal Year 2019 Federal Programs Closeout Process in the Grants Management System (GMS) instructions are now available here. LEAs can now begin the closeout process, which is due Sept. 1, 2019.
The Office of Federal Programs has made available to all LEAs the Fiscal Year 2020 Consolidated Application, Schoolwide and Targeted Applications in the Grants Management System (GMS). The only allocations available at this time are the Title IA, Title IA-Neglected and Title ID-Delinquent.
USDE has released the Final Supplement Not Supplant Under Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act. The Non-Regulatory Informational Document is dated June 2019. Click here to review the document.
All new superintendents are required to complete the District Superintendent Security Form located on Single Sign-On under “Links and Docs.”
