Hofmeister comments on confirmation of State Board of Education

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 15, 2019) – State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister made the following remarks today after the full Senate confirmed four new members of the State Board of Education. Two members had previously received Senate confirmation. Hofmeister serves as the Board's chair.

“This is an exciting time for the State Board of Education. I congratulate the newest members — Brian Bobek, Kurt Bollenbach, Carlisha Williams Bradley, Estela Hernandez and Jennifer Monies — as well as returning member Bill Flanagan. Together, this board represents a true diversity of backgrounds, expertise and perspectives. This board will have the opportunity to have a positive and enduring impact working on behalf of Oklahoma schoolkids.”
