The Oklahoma School Climate Transformation Grant, also referred to as OK Transform, is now accepting applications. Twenty-five schools across Oklahoma will be selected to receive Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) implementation support, training and technical assistance.
Selected schools and districts will receive support and information regarding how to transform school climate by building local capacity through the implementation of a sustained, school-wide PBIS framework. In addition, schools/districts in counties with the highest opioid usage per population will receive addiction prevention training on opioid use.
Benefits of Participation
Schools and districts participating in the School Climate Transformation Grant project will receive training, professional development and technical assistance in regard to the following:
- System-wide implementation of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework
- Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), social emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, suicide prevention, bullying prevention, mental health awareness and opioid training
- Coaching support in regard to team collaboration and data-based decision making
- Guided support for implementation of evidence-based interventions and practices
- Access to e-learning opportunities through online platforms
- Improved academic achievement in reading and math
- Improved attendance rates

The Summer Career Academy is offered by the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services for students with hearing loss interested in obtaining employment. Early applications are encouraged as enrollment is limited to ensure maximum personal attention. The deadline for application is April 19, 2019, but applications will be accepted until all slots are filled.
