Draft Review

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is seeking input from knowledgeable and experienced K-12 dance and drama/theatre educators, higher education faculty, and community stakeholders to participate in draft revision of the proposed dance and drama/theatre guidelines. The guidelines will become standards once approved by the Oklahoma Legislature in 2020.

The Draft Review Team will be charged with reviewing the draft of the guidelines and providing critical feedback regarding rigor, coherence, and accessibility. Team members will be selected to serve on the committees ensuring representation from a variety of characteristics, including geography, grade level, subject area, and experience.

The Draft Review Teams will meet no less than three times virtually during the summer to conduct extensive and detailed revisions to the dance and drama/theatre guidelines during the development process. The first virtual meeting will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on June 3, 2019. Additional virtual meetings will be held on July 16 and August 6, 2019.

All Oklahomans interested in participating on the Draft Review Team must complete the official application and submit a resume no later than March 25, 2018 at 10 AM. Selections will be announced later that week. Applicants are asked to tentatively protect indicated dates in case they are selected to serve on the team.
